Program Features and Tuition
Our degree programs are designed for professionals and executives. The time needed to finalize this may vary depending on the hours the student could put into the degree program. If you are an online student, you will have the ability to work at an accelerated or slower pace, meaning there are no absolutes in how long the process will take. The PBU set-up, including the modules and the final thesis allow a flexible manner of studying, and for mature candidates with proven track record and experience, the period may be reduced based on a portfolio analysis. Therefore, the course can be combined excellently with a job and portions of the program may be completed online. The education programs that we offer are priced competitively. The table below indicates the fees for the 2011–2012 programs, payable in several installments. The fees do not include text books and travel/accommodation for internship of international students.

MBA
In a practical-based module, most of a student’s time will be spent on practical work and in preparing for assessment. In a lecture-based course a considerable amount of time will be spent on private study. The set-up allows a very flexible manner of studying. Therefore, the course can be combined excellently with a job. The study load, which is the standard necessary study time to realize the competences mentioned in the training set-up, amounts to a total of 170 study load hours (SLHs) per module:
• 24 hours contact time (two times 3 hours per week or 3 times 2 hours per week, during 4 weeks)
• 97 hours literature and study assignments
• 49 hours processing assignments in (own) practice
Admission Requirements MBA:
• A bachelor degree or its equivalent;
• The Graduate Management Admission Test or GMAT;
• Test of English as a Foreign Language or TOEFL.
• At least 4 year work experience
• An ambitious outlook
• Engaged in combining work and study
Graduation Requirements MBA:
The executive MBA program consists of 12 required courses and 4 electives, for a total of 48 credits Satisfactory completion of these 48 credit hours is necessary for graduation. Maximum time for completion of the degree is seven years. The MBA degree requires also satisfaction of the following criteria:
• Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (B) or higher.
• All required courses must be passed.
• All financial obligations to the University paid in full.
DBA
Admission Requirements for DBA:
• Completion of a Master’s degree or an MBA. A cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 on graduate coursework is required. Official transcripts will need to be submitted.
• Submission of a minimum GMAT score of 400.
• Applicants for whom English is a Second Language must submit a minimum paper-based TOEFL score of 600 or the electronic-based score of 250 to be considered for the program.
• At least 5 year work experience

Graduation Requirements DBA:
For the Doctor of Business Administration, participants must complete a minimum of 36 credits, including the research and dissertation project activities, and satisfaction of the following criteria:
• Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (B) or higher.
• All required courses must be passed.
• All financial obligations with the University are satisfied.
BA
Admission Requirements BA:
• High School Graduation or completion of the GED.
• Completion of 84 credit hours of General Education courses in other colleges or universities. Students who have not completed these requirements must complete the University’s General Education Challenge Examinations at PBU Suriname.
• At least 3 year work experience
• An ambitious outlook
• Engaged in combining work and study
Graduation Requirements BA :
• All bachelor’s degree candidates are required to earn an average of C or a grade point average of 2.0. in their total course of study and to complete a minimum of 36 credit hours (8 required courses and 4 electives). A maximum of 15 credits may be earned prior to matriculation to PBU Suriname by various means, including transfer credit (coursework taken at another institution) and enrollment courses taken while in high school or at work in an organization (work experience).
• All required courses must be passed.
• All financial obligations to the University paid in full.
AA
Admission Requirements AA:
• High School Graduation or completion of the GED.
• Completion of 36 credits hours of General Education courses in other colleges or universities. Students who have not completed these requirements must complete the University’s General Education Challenge Examinations at PBU Suriname.

• Engaged in combining work and study
Graduation Requirements AA:
• Earn a minimum of 24 credit hours (5 required courses and 3 electives) with a 2.00 cumulative grade point average (GPA) or higher.
